Azimio one Kenya presidential candidate Raila Odinga has exuded confidence that the outcome of the elections petition at the Supreme Court will be in his favour.

Speaking during the gubernatorial campaigns in Kakamega on Friday, Odinga stated that his legal team was in possession of tangible evidence that will expose the rot in the IEBC.

“When the hearing starts at the apex court you will see the stinking rot that will emanate from the evidence we have," he said.

"What I want to say is that such people should not be allowed to oversee elections in this country, instead they should be arrested and taken to jail."

He said it is too unfair for people to wake up early in the morning to go and vote and one person in Nairobi is just seated waiting to alter the results.

"But we know God is there and the truth shall come out.” He stated

The ODM Party leader thanked the people of Khwisero and Kakamega as a whole for overwhelmingly voting for him and other Azimio candidates during the August 9, elections.

“I want to thank you very much for coming out in large numbers and tremendously voting for me and the others on August 9."

"Your vote has not gone to waste but it has counted. Your objective was achieved that’s why I’m here to thank you today.”

Odinga however castigated the Iebc chairman Wafula Chebukati saying he intentionally postponed the Kakamega and Mombasa gubernatorial elections in order to demoralize voters in this region knowing that they were ODM strongholds.

“This was intentional to cause what is called suppressing the voter turnout among the people of Kakamega and Mombasa, but I want to tell them that they will not succeed with their plot.”

He asked the People of Kakamega to vote for the ODM gubernatorial candidate Fernandez Barasa on Monday saying the party had confidence in him that he will be able to take the county to the next level of development.

The race to succeed Governor Wycliffe Oparanya has attracted seven candidates.
