ODM is on track to restore its glory in Western after it scooped the majority of MP and MCA seats across the region, Vihiga Senator-elect Godfrey Osotsi has said.

Osotsi told the Star on the phone that the recent performance of the ODM party is a clear indicator that they have more elected MPs in the region compared to rival parties.
“ODM is on the road to capture its glory in Western region, based on how the party has performed,” Osotsi said.
“As ODM, we have the majority of MCAs in Kakamega, Busia and Vihiga,” he added.
The lawmaker said most of the ODM MP candidates in Vihiga performed well.
“Those who won on ANC party in Vihiga were on their own and they could have won the elections on any other party as well,” Osotsi said.
Omboko Millemba, Charles Gimose and Ernest Kagesi won on ANC, while Clement Sloya won on the UDA party ticket.
ODM got eight out of 12 seats in Kakamega. They are Nabii Nabwera (Lugari), Innocent Mugabe (Likuyani), Titus Khamala (Lurambi), Emmanuel Wangwe (Navakholo), Johnson Naicca (Mumias West), Peter Nabulindo (Matungu), Tindi Mwale (Butere), Christopher Aseka (Khwisero) and Woman Rep Essy Mhanda.
In Busia, ODM got Oku Kaunya (Teso North), Godffrey Odanga (Matayos), Oyula Maelo (Butula), Wilberforce Oundo (Funyula), Raphael Wanjala (Budalang'i) and Woman Rep Catherine Omanyo.
In Vihiga, Azimio got only one MP seat-Dick Maungu (DAP-K) of Luanda constituency.
IEBC data shows ODM got 19 MCA seats out of 35 in Busia. In Vihiga, ODM got 10 out of 25 MCAs, while in Kakamega it got 27 out of 60 MCAs.
In Bungoma, ODM got only one MCA with no MP.
However, lawmakers who ditched ANC for ODM after ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi joined William Ruto in Kenya Kwanza Alliance won the election.
They include Butere's Mwale who garnered 23,898 votes against his competitor Habil Nanjendo of ANC who polled 12,597 votes.
In Lurambi constituency, Khamala retained his seat through ODM after garnering 32,309 votes.
In Khwisero, Aseka of ODM retained his seat by polling 28,156 votes against ANC's Godfrey Kanoti's 4,673 votes.
Naicca Manya managed to retain his Mumias West seat on ODM by garnering 15,868 votes against Mohammed Achesa of UDA with 11,056 votes.
ANC secured three parliamentary seats in Navakholo, Malava and Shinyalu constituencies, while Eugene Wamalwa’s party DAP-K bagged one seat in Mumias East.
UDA got the Kakamega senator seat through Boni Khalwale.
