Bungoma County Woman MP Catherine Wambilianga emerged the winner with 140,059 votes.
Her close rival Nancy Kibaba of the United Democratic Party (UDA) garnered 111,524 votes as former Bungoma county woman MP Dr Regnaldah Wanyonyi got 70,607.
Speaking at Mabanga ATC on Thursday after she was declared the winner, Wambilianga lauded Bungoma voters for re-electing her.
“I take this opportunity to thank the Bungoma electors who supported my e- election and I will serve this great county diligently,” she said.
She thanked Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetang’ula for supporting her bid to retain the seat.
“Campaigns have been very tiresome clashing with our opponents here and there on campaign trails but in the end, I emerged the winner,” she said.
In her appeal, she called on her opponents to put aside their differences and support her to deliver services to the people of the county.
On his part, Kabuchai MP-elect Majimbo Kalasinga lauded IEBC for performing its roles constitutionally to deliver transparent elections.
Majimbo who garnered 37,627 votes beating his close rival Evans Kakai of Jubilee scooped 2,651 votes, and Erick Wanyonyi of DAP-K was able to get 2014 votes.
The MP lauded former senate speaker Ken Lusaka for winning the gubernatorial contest with 244,298 votes.
“Bungoma is now safe, this county needs someone like Lusaka who will develop it,” Majimbo said.
