The Finland Overseas education fiasco debacle in Uasin Gishu is back after affected parents and students said they would resume street protests to demand a refund of their money.
They are demanding more than Sh850 million which they paid for the overseas education programme to have their children study in Finland and Canada.
More than 350 affected parents met in Eldoret and said they had been abandoned even after being asked to be patient so that they could be refunded.
The parents were led by Daniel Birgen and Edward Kiptek who said they were back in full swing to demand back their money.
"We have been patient enough but our leaders abandoned us. We are now back to demand our rights," Kiptek said.
He alleged that the same responsible for messing up the education programme are now spreading rumours that the parents and students had been refunded.
"None of us has been refunded and none of our children has been taken out for the studies," Kiptek said.
The parents also asked President William Ruto to intervene and honour his promise to help them.
Another leader of the parents Shadrack Juma vowed that they would fearlessly fight for the money to be refunded.
