On Tuesday, Ndanyi assured the passengers that they have deployed enough security officers to beef up the security and that the passengers should not worry about their safety.

“We are here at Kainuk to ensure normalcy has returned along the Lokichar-Kaakong route. We have beefed the security along the route to ensure that no one scares the passengers travelling from Lodwar to Kitale,” he said.

“We have enough security officers conducting patrols along the Lokichar- Kainuk route and therefore no need for the public to panic about their security,” he spoke to the Star on phone.

A PSV was attacked on Friday evening at Kaakong Turkana south along the Lodwar Kitale highway by suspected Pokot bandits killing a third year student at Turkana College of technical, injuring a 14 years old boy and the driver.
