The Wiper Party has withdrawn David Oyugi Ogega as its candidate for Bonchari by-election.

This has brought confusion among IEBC officials as Oyugi had already presented his certificate by March 22, 2021, as required by the electoral body.

His candidature was withdrawn after the party decided not to field a candidate for the by-election.

Oyugi has called out the party for abandoning him at his time of need and settling not to field a candidate in Bonchari even after assuring him he would be the chosen one.

He now says he regrets joining the party saying its officials seem keen on killing his political star.

Efforts by Oyugi to try and change membership from Wiper to Kenya Social Congress appear to have also hit a dead end.
