ACK Diocese Maseno South donates food to 250 families

About 250 families have received food donations from the ACK Diocese Maseno South Church in Kisumu.

Each family received 8kg of maize flour, 2kg of rice, 2kg of beans, 1kg sugar and two bars of soap.

“We feel the pain when some of us are suffering and cannot live a decent life and get basic items such as food hence the drive to give these donations,” added Bishop Charles Ong'injo.

He noted that it was important for them as a church to use what they had before they go out to seek more assistance.

“We have just started the journey and should we get more, we will be able to reach a bigger number,” Ong'injo noted.

The bishop also called on people across the country to extend a helping hand to people living near them.

George Collins, the Director of Transform Empowerment Action who contributed toward the initiative, noted that they were delighted to join hands to support the cause.
