Jubilee MPs will not participate in the nomination of members to the East African Legislative Assembly if the name of Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s son will be on the list, Aden Duale has said.
The National Assembly majority leader addressed the press in Garissa town on Monday.
Duale said Kalonzo cannot play around with the law because he is a party leader.
“I want to tell my colleagues in Wiper and ODM that if they don’t bring in more names, Jubilee will not participate in the nominations,” he said.
“You cannot use your office as the party leader to nominate your son. This is morally wrong, unconstitutional and conflict of interest.”
Duale said Kalonzo is engaging in nepotism and Jubilee will not allow it.
The Majority Leader said Jubilee is watching the development keenly and if Kennedy Musyoka is still on the list,

Jubilee will notify the Speaker of their intention to boycott the nomination.
Duale said former Prime Minister Raila Odinga used his position to appoint his kinsmen and women into positions. “What we are seeing is an indication of things to happen if they form the next government,” he said.
“Kenyans should read the signs now and vote in the Jubilee government lest they regret after August 8.”
Duale said NASA’s agenda is to create positions for their sons, daughters and wives. “It’s clear now that NASA is out to share positions among their relatives. This is a group of leaders who have no agenda for this country other than their selfish interests.”
