Safina Party has reaffirmed its determination to capture the Kariobangi North seat in the upcoming by-election after holding meetings with residents and local leaders.
The party described the ward as a strategic entry point for what it calls an economic revolution in Nairobi.
Party leader Jimi Wanjigi said Kariobangi North holds a central place in Safina’s vision of transforming Nairobi’s economy. He praised the party’s candidate, Christopher Ochieng Wandera, popularly known as Dangote, for his resilience and commitment to the community.
Wanjigi said some political actors might underestimate Safina’s resolve, but the party remained determined to push ahead with its reform agenda.
He said Dangote had shown unwavering commitment to the people despite the setbacks he had faced.
“I am proud to say that Dangote and I and the people of Karibangi are united, because we speak the same language: economic revolution,” Wanjigi said.

“If he wins, we all win. This is not just a campaign, it is a movement to reclaim the future for the people of Kariobangi North.”
Wanjigi said Dangote’s decision to join Safina demonstrated his commitment to serving the community and advancing civic reform, good governance and economic empowerment. He assured voters that the party was intentional about delivering meaningful change.
Dangote, who will fly the party’s ticket in the by-election, said he was ready to lead and become an example of what Safina stands for. He said residents deserved better economic opportunities and a break from financial struggles that had held them back for years.
“I want to be a pioneer for this party, and I am ready to lead,” he said. “The people of Kariobangi North can be assured of financial and economic freedom. Together, we will end the cycle of debt and break free from the financial crisis that has held our community back for too long.”
Safina Party is also fielding candidates in Narok Town and Mbeere North, signalling what it says is a growing presence across the country. Party officials described the by-elections as an important test of Safina’s expanding influence and an opportunity to push its reform agenda further.
Deputy Party Leader Willis Otieno urged residents to register to vote and use the ballot to push for change. He said Safina was ready to welcome anyone who believed in its vision.
“We are streamlining the party registration process. Anyone committed to an economic revolution is welcome,” he said.
He added that empowerment remained the foundation of progress.
“We are the liberating party. We are no longer on the sidelines, we are stepping forward to claim the change we deserve.”
Safina says it will continue engaging residents as campaigns intensify, promising a message focused on opportunity, empowerment, and economic recovery.
