Former Transport CAS Wavinya Ndeti has told the Kamba community not to worry over the Oka-Azimio deal.
Ndeti, who is seeking the Machakos governor post, said the community and Oka supporters should support Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and President Uhuru Kenyatta in rallying for Raila Odinga’s presidency.
“Kalonzo is in talks with Uhuru and Raila. You heard him say he supports Raila to become the fifth president and that’s where we are,” Ndeti said.
She spoke during a funds drive at AIC Kyumbi Church in Mavoko subcounty on Sunday.

Ndeti said the President has the Constitutional right to support Raila just like former US President Barack Obama did to Joe Biden.
“Deputy President William Ruto should understand that Uhuru has a right to support Raila. I also urge him (Ruto) to collaborate with the President to accomplish the work they were elected to do,” she said.
Ruto has been criticising Uhuru for openly backing Raila.

Ndeti also called for tolerance among various politicians and their supporters during the political campaigns.

Ndeti said Kenya is a democratic country hence no violence should be used against opponents.
“If you don’t want to listen to a leader, don’t attend his or her functions. And if it’s a church like this, people should treat it with respect. They shouldn’t call other people’s names in churches,” Ndeti said.
She said politicians should seek for votes in churches with dignity.
Ndeti said politicians and their supporters should desist from violence and instead call for peaceful coexistence and a progressive nation.

Ndeti said perpetrators of violence should be lawfully brought to book.
