Taita Taveta county governor hopeful Andrew Mwadime has raised an alarm over alleged voter bribery in some polling stations in Voi constituency.
The Mwatate MP said his agents have reported that unknown people have been distributing money around Voi since last night.
He asked IEBC and security details to swiftly investigate the claims for a fair and credible election.
"Some people alleged to be agents of the incumbent Governor Granton Samboja were arrested and released last night, we want IEBC to deal with such malpractices," Mwadime said.

The independent candidate further revealed that Kiems kits in Mwatate had failed, prompting a delay in the voting exercise.
He, however, said there are no major hitches in the voting process, pointing out that he is confident of trouncing the other 12 candidates in the race.
Efforts to reach the county returning officer Esha Mohamed for a comment on the allegations were futile as she could not be reached on phone.
Voi subcounty police commander Bernstein Shari, however, confirmed that they are investigating cases of voter bribery.
The police boss said a multi-agency security team has been deployed to oversee the election.
