Some agents in Kinango constituency say they have been locked out of polling stations.

They said only four agents have been allowed in.

"We are 12 agents and only four have been allowed inside. We have asked the presiding officer why he has locked us out and he is telling us that he is following directives from above," agent Mwanamkuu Luvuno said at Kinango primary polling station.

"We have tried to talk to him [the presiding officer] to allow us to agree among ourselves on who should represent us, but he has refused, yet we are supposed to help supporters cast their votes." 

She said they were worried about how they would represent their political parties and candidates.

Hamisi Nduria said they were locked out for two hours.

"We are out of the stream, yet we are supposed to be helping our people. We are being told they are following instructions but they don't say from whom," he said.
