ODM leader Raila Odinga and Deputy President William Ruto both pitched camp in Mombasa county as the hunt for votes intensifies.

Ruto campaigned on his bottom-up model.

He attended a service at the Power of the World Christian Church in Nyali constituency before heading to the Akamba Handicraft Centre.

He said if elected, he will support such businesses to expand.

The DP hit out at Raila, saying he had failed to show what he has done for Kenyans.

Meanwhile, Raila met elders from across Mombasa county at Sheikh Zayed Hall.

Raila dismissed Ruto's the bottom-up economic model.

Raila met over 10,000 village elders, Nyumba Kumi ambassadors, opinion leaders and community leaders.

The Coast region has more than two million votes and has traditionally been seen as a Raila stronghold.

On Friday, Raila accompanied President Uhuru Kenyatta to Mtongwe Naval Base for the launch of Kenya Shipyard .

Kenya Shipyard Limited is a Kenya Government nascent ship building and repair facility.

It was borne out of the need for a maritime facility that can be able to repair, maintain, refit, construct ship and provide other maritime services.

Uhuru has on several occasions given covert and not-so-covert hints that he supports Raila's presidential bid.
