NCIC commissioner Morris Dzoro has urged politicians to avoid making statements that would trigger violence.

Dzoro said the region is being polarised ahead of next year’s general election.

The National Cohesion and Integration Commission member spoke in Kaloleni on Monday. He urged politicians to campaign without inciting the public.

Dzoro’s remarks come barely two weeks after Kaya elders asked the NCIC to crack the whip on hate mongers.

Malindi District Cultural Association secretary general Karisa Mwarandu said, “The NCIC should monitor rallies because some politicians, if not tamed, might cause violence next year.”
