Police probe death of Mwea man

A 32=year-old man ‘s body was found dangling from the roof of his house on Wednesday in Mwea, Kirinyaga county.

It is suspected that the man committed suicide after a domestic row.

His wife, 29, said she quaralled with her husband on Monday and she left with her two children.

“Last evening (Monday) we had a quarrel, after which my husband threatened to kill someone. We had to flee for our lives because he looked emotionally disturbed. We woke up to some shocking news today that his body was dangling from within our house,” she said.

An uncle of the deceased said he heard screams while at his home which is a stone throw away and upon getting there he found the mother to the deceased wailing uncontrollably.

“After we saw a piece of cloth tied around his neck, my brother and I rushed to Wang’uru police station to report the case. The body was picked by police and taken to Kibugi funeral home in Kutus."
