• They should be discussing development strategies before the end of Uhuru's final term at State House

Mt Kenya elected leaders have been asked to lobby for development from the government as a team instead of politicking as Tangatanga and Kieleweke factions.

Kiambu Senator Kimani Wamatangi accused the leaders of failing to collectively discuss development strategies even as the clock ticks before the end of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s second and final term.

Time is running out, Wamatangi cautioned and regretted that the Kieleweke and Tangatanga activists - mainly from Central - traversed the country politicking.

“Our people are not serious; they are busy politicking instead of lobbying for development. This is the opportunity, but so many are misusing it,” the senator said.

He spoke on Sunday at Kenya Assembly of God church in Thigio, Limuru, in the company of among others, Baringo Senator Gideon Moi and Ndeiya MCA Gideon Gachara.

Moi urged the clergy to pray for President Uhuru Kenyatta, his government and all leaders.

“Let us all support President Uhuru and keep praying for him and the entire country. We need peace to coexist” he said.
