[PHOTOS] Rescue mission as half-demolished building collapses in Mathare

A rescue mission is ongoing in Mathare North after a building that was half demolished collapsed.

At the time the building collapsed, some people were still trapped inside.

This is after the government stepped in to reclaim riparian lands by demolishing buildings near rivers.

Bulldozers were at the site demolishing the building.

Earlier, four people had been rescued and taken to a nearby hospital.

According to the Kenya Red Cross, three individuals had critical injuries while one person sustained minor injuries.
