Maisha movie serialised for TV

Kenyan movie Maisha will be shot into a 13-episode series for TV. Maisha is a short film by Imagine Pictures about a jilted woman who hires a hit-man to kill her ex-boyfriend’s current girlfriend so that she can be with the man again.  The film that was launched during a Screen on The Green event at the Ngong Race Course, was also nominated for best short film at the Kalasha Awards 2011.

The producer Andrew Odera told Word is, “After the film was launched everyone wanted to see more of it so we decided to film a series and change the story a bit to make it more interesting. We are filming 13 episodes it should be ready by May .” Some of the cast members include Gladys Midecha who plays Jezebel, the jilted lover, Dickson Kirimba who plays her boyfriend and Lassie Atrash who is the hit-man, Jomo.
