A peace night will be launched on February 24 at the Smiths Hotel in Ongata Rongai. The night seeks to bring peace amongst different communities in Kenya.
Talanta group who are part of the organisers will unveil their classical night with performances from comedian siblings Eric and Fred Omondi together with Mgzay and music from the Rhumba 5 music band. “The aim of the show is to use comedy and music to bring peace amongst different communities in Kenya.
This will be a launching point as the group aims to traverse the country with the same message,” Godfrey Okinyi, the director said. “The group is also planning a show for the Kenyans in London in April. A medical doctor from Samburu, Dr.Joseph who works at Birmingham is arranging for the performance.” The event is sponsored by Tony Keene, the son to former veteran politician, John Keene who is vying for the Rongai parliamentary seat.
