A new record label will soon be signing up artistes with the aim of managing them and promoting the sales of their songs. The label called Sauti Records will “cover all costs of the artistes recording fees for their albums and do all the marketing of their songs,” said Bernard Kioko the founder of the label.
Bernard said that the label will also, “publish the artistes music, merchandise, negotiate international distribution and seek endorsements on the artistes behalf.” He continued: “We are in the process of negotiation contracts with several top Kenyan artistes and as soon as that is done, we will have a launch of the label very soon.”
