Kenya Sevens head coach Kevin Wambua has made three changes to the squad for the final Challenger Sevens Series leg in Munich next weekend.

Speedstar Patrick Odongo returns after missing the previous leg in Uruguay due to a broken jaw.

Brian Tanga returns after shaking off an illness while foward Herman Humwa cuts into the team for his first appearance of the campaign after impressing the technical bench in the training camp at Moi Stadium Kasarani.

They have replaced Dennis Abukuse, Elvis Olukusi and Ben Salem. Germany.

“It's a very strong team. The sessions have been tough and the players have lifted their hands in training. Picking the final 12 was tough but I believe the team we have will get the job done,” observed Wambua.

Wambua's charges face Chile, Portugal and Japan in Pool 'C'.

"It's going to be a competitive tournament. Every team will be fighting for a position (in the playoffs) we cannot take our eyes off the ball. Every match will be vital,” said Wambua.

The Mwamba tactician said they have worked on their defensive alignment to be more solid in defence.

“There are certain defensive plans we have come with in training to ensure the opposition players don't get over the gain-line," he said.

Kenya are joint top of the standings, alongside Uruguay, with 36 points. Chile (32) and Germany (28) close out the playoff places.

Meanwhile, coach Dennis Mwanja has made two changes to the Lionesses set-up ahead of the women's final tournament in Krakow, Poland.

The Lionesses must reach the final to qualify for the playoff tournament in Madrid on May 31-June 2.

The Lionesses are fifth on the log with 24 points. China lead the standings with 40 points followed by Argentina (34) while Uganda and Belgium are joint-thrid with 28 points

Freshia Oduor and Edith Nairaka replace stalwarts Grace Okulu and Janet Okello, who have not been released by their Japanese Club, MIE Pearls.

Sheila Chajira captains the team to Poland. Mwanja's charges are in Pool 'C' alongside Belgium, Mexico and Poland.
