Football Kenya Federation (FKF) National Super League (NSL) side SS Assad coach Nassoro Mwakoba is eyeing an improved performance from his side during the second leg of the second-tier league.

“We didn’t have a good first leg. However, I’m looking forward to a better performance in the second leg of the season,” said Mwakoba.

He attributed the team’s poor performance away from home to the long distance they have had to cover from Kwale County.

“Our away record is wanting but I attribute that to fatigue, especially, when traveling upcountry,” said Mwakoba. The former Bandari assistant said his target is a top-five finish at the end of the season.

“Finishing in the top two at the moment is difficult but a playoff is achievable. If not possible, we will be okay with a top-five finish,” said the tactician.

Mwakoba took over from Ali Mwachaunga who was fired by the club in November last year.
