Nyanza regional basketball champions Agoro Sare dribbled their way into the national school games semifinals with a 54-53 win over Dr. Aggrey .

Their journey started with a 58-49 win over Sigalame. They face Pioneer School in their final pool match on Thursday.

Coach Benson Ochieng hailed Dr. Aggrey's formidable challenge in their debut clash, acknowledging their adversary's resilience.

"Facing Dr. Aggrey was a gritty test. They're a force to reckon with, hats off to them," Ochieng affirmed.

Ochieng remains vigilant as he seeks a final berth.

"We're taking it one game at a time, playing with caution. We are observing our rivals keenly, to dissect their game to our advantage," he added.

He pinpointed the importance of flawless inbound passes ahead of the semis.

"Our turnovers during inbound plays need refining. Some players are feeling the heat of their first nationals, but we'll iron out the kinks," he added.

Ochieng lauded the preparedness of fellow coaches and teams.

“The competition is fierce this season. Coaches have honed their squads to precision. Brace yourselves for even tougher matchups ahead,” he stated.
