Adhiambo to make Malkia debut as KVF name final squad

Malkia will play in the 2024 Africa Volleyball Federation (CAVB) Zone Five African Games qualifiers.

Pamela Jepkurui and Lincy Jeruto have been dropped from the final 14 Malkia Strikers member squad for the 2024 Africa Volleyball Federation (CAVB) Zone Five African Games qualifiers.

Malkia coach Japheth Munala who took over from Paul Bitok after the latter entered into Kenya Volleyball Federation management, named a squad that boasts youth and experience.

Outside hitter Pamela Adhiambo who has been central to Kenya Pipeline's resurgance, makes the debut in the squad. He will shoulder responsibility in the department with the help of Captain Mercy Moim, Juliana Namutira and Jemimah Siangu.

Setter Esther Mutinda returns to the side after missing out on the Tokyo Olympics and the World Championships. She reunites with Emmaculate Nekesa since the pair were teammates at Kwanthanze Secondary School and have been first-choice at KCB and Pipeline respectively.

Agrippina Kundu and Elizabeth Wanyama are the liberos while Mercy Iminza and Loice Simiyu are the opposite players.

KCB duo of captain Edith Mukuvilani and Belinda Barasa, Pipeline's Trizah Atuka and Kenya Prisons' Lorine Chebet are the middle blockers.
