The Netherlands has expressed its commitment to continue supporting Kenya on all major fronts to ensure it realizes its full potential.

Outgoing Ambassador to Kenya Maarteen Brouwer said his country remains a reliable partner highlighting the strategic pillars where the Netherlands is actively engaged in supporting the development agenda.

Speaking during the King’s Day celebration in Nairobi, Brouwer also lauded Kenya's progress in development, stability, and economic growth.

He expressed optimism about deepening the relations between the two countries, vowing to catalyze further collaboration in the months ahead.

“We will do our best to make sure that the relationship between the Netherlands and Kenya will flourish even more and I am sure that we will give it a major push later this year,” he said.

Brouwer who is proceeding on retirement said he leaves the country full of confidence that Kenya is on the right track.

“We will try to be a constructive partner with Kenya and together with our EU partners and beyond,” he stated.
