Duo charged with stealing from son of former DCI boss

They allegedly stole PlayStation gaming consoles valued at Sh1.2 million

Two people have been charged with stealing PlayStations and gaming equipment from a shop belonging to the son of a former DCI boss.

Luis Borura Nyawira Otieno and Stephen Wafula Okoni were arraigned before a Milimani Magistrate Robinson Ondieki and denied the charges.

According to the charge sheet, the two broke into the shop, a gaming lounge and committed the offence.

They allegedly stole nine PlayStation 5, two PlayStation 4, 20 PlayStation pads and 35 gaming disks, all valued at Sh1.2 million. 

Through advocate Danstan Omari the complainant said they will be opposing the suspects release on bail.

The magistrate directed that they be placed in police custody until Friday when the bail application will be handled.
