KNH announces 49 vacancies for medical specialists, nurses

Interested candidates for the jobs have until March 18 to apply

Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) has advertised 49 job opportunities for medical specialists in various fields and clinical officers.

The medics are set to be deployed to the main facility while others are to the two other branches of Mwai Kibaki Hospital in Othaya and Mama Margaret Uhuru Hospital in Ruaraka.

At least 25 medical specialists are required at the main facility including a chief manager in charge of ICT and two clinical officers.

At Mwai Kibaki Hospital, 11 specialists are needed and three assistant clinical officers while at seven are set to be deployed to Mama Margaret Uhuru Hospital in Ruaraka.

An advert appearing in the weekly paper dated February 27 states that those interested in the jobs are required to apply by visiting the hospital’s website.

“All those interested in the above positions and meet the minimum requirements are requested to download and fill the application form available on KNH website www.knh.or.ke,” it reads.

The application form together with a detailed CV indicating qualifications, experience, current responsibilities, copies of testimonials and certificates must be submitted on or before March 18, it states.

It is to be addressed to the KNH CEO.

Applicants are also reminded to indicate whether the application is for among the three facilities.

On the other hand, Kenyatta University Teaching and Referral and Research Hospital (KUTRRH) has declared 48 vacancies at the facility.

They include 15 critical care nurses, four accident and emergency nurses, four physiotherapists, and three radiologists.

Others are two cathlab radiographers, sonographers, radiographers, training officers, a chef, radiotherapists, a quantity surveyor, a clinical pharmacist, a director in charge of nursing and a nuclear medicine technologist.

Application deadline which is to be done online on www.kutrrh.go.ke closes on March 19.

“Successful candidates will be required to submit the documents listed below to comply with the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution,” the advert reads.

 The documents are a certificate of good conduct for DCI, a clearance certificate from the higher education loans board which applies to university graduates only, a tax compliance certificate from KRA, clearance from EACC and a report from an approved credit reference bureau.

“Any form of canvassing will lead to immediate disqualification,” it says.
