Makadem impressed by MCSK despite not being a member

Ohanglaman Makadem says that he is happy with the latest amendments made in the Music Copyright Society of Kenya. Makadem a non-member of the organisation was speaking during MCSK's gala night on Saturday where he revealed that MCSK had asked him to register as a member.
"I am happy with the new structure and I have hopes that one day musicians will get what they really deserve. Of course it may take time because Rome was not built in one day but there is hope,"Makadem told Word Is.
Makadem is registered with Koda, a non-profit collective rights management society that administers Danish and international copyrights for music creators and publishers, when their music is performed in public.
Koda represents approximately two million songwriters and music publishers. Through reciprocal contracts with rights societies in more than 115 countries, they offer the entire world repertoire of music in one single agreement.
