Coast NGOs back Wafula

The National Council of NGOs Coast chairman Fatuma Tabwara has opposed the ouster of the council's national chair Ken Wafula. Tabwara said five NGOs from the Coast were duped into going to the meeting which they were locked out of because there was a special list of NGOs to be allowed in. She said the Kasarani meeting that ousted Wafula had only 34 NGOs which did not meet the required 50 required to form a quorum. Former Juja MP Stephen hurriedly convened the Kasarani meeting which elected Violet Okinda chair and Ndichu the vice chair. Wafula was allowed into the meeting only after it had ended.
