City Stars Vs Gor Mahia Today 3pm

City Stadium

My Prediction: City Stars 1-1 K’ogalo

City Stars are one of those sides that wrecked the party for both Gor Mahia and Sofapaka last season. This season K’Ogalo aren’t taking their challenge lying down. In the reverse fixture the Kawangware outfit were beaten 2-1 and Gor are looking slightly better now; certainly their confidence is up. I am still concerned that it’s a two-man show at Gor with Dan Sserunkuma and Rama Salim doing the bulk of the work. I was not impressed by Gor’s game against Chemelil and they’ll have to do a lot better against a City Stars team seething with anger after being robbed of points a week ago. For the record; FKF’s Referees Committee have suspended Referee James Kagera for awarding AFC an obviously dubious penalty and City Stars management are furious. Clearly the points could be the decider for both City Stars who linger near the bottom and AFC who are challenging for the title ome the end of the season. How unjust! So City Stars will be looking to take revenge on any side that stands in their way. Unfortunately coach Gideon Ochieng will be in the stands for the game, but he’s a man who does his job well before kick off. I actually think that this game will be all square.

AFC Leopards Vs Karuturi Sports Today 3pm

Mumias

My Prediction: Ingwe 2 – 1 Karuturi

Someone asked me the other day whether AFC Leopards are comfortable with Mumias as a home ground and I said no, I don’t think so. I don’t have the stats in my head of how many matches they have won or lost there, but I know that Ingwe like to play to a large crowd. And even though the Mumias Complex will be full to the brim, it’s too small an arena for such a big side, especially now that they’re gunning for the title and need everything to be in their favour. Ingwe have a good side. Coach Jan Koops has put together an “A” - Class group of players and if they play as per his instructions, then this game will be a breeze. Karuturi meanwhile got their first win this side of the league last weekend against Sony Sugar. They have been having a tough time using Oserian as a home ground. Travelling to Mumias instead of the traditional Nairobi for an AFC home game might throw them off as well. Coach Michael Naam needs to find his footing while the club are still within the top 8. I doubt it will happen today.

Sony Sugar Vs Ulinzi Stars Today 3pm

Kisii

My Prediction: Sony 0 – 2 Ulinzi

Sony Sugar are so finished! Coach Zedekiah Otieno promised “a new and effective side” in the second half of the season but I am yet to see that team in action. Sony are looking off and last week’s defeat to a Karuturi side who themselves are struggling, was a shame. Ulinzi Stars meanwhile are doing the exact opposite. Coach Sammy Simuyu’s troops are on fire and getting the results. So much so that they are now thrd in the standings and aiming for the top. If we keep sleeping, they will find themselves competing with Ingwe for the top spot. I’m banking on that happening.
