Fora condemns ‘Miguna sleaze’

FRIENDS of Raila (Fora) yesterday claimed that a new memoir by the PM's adviser is part of a smear campaign by his detractors. The Fora group from Uasin Gishu said Miguna Miguna's newly-released book — Peeling Back the Mask: Quest for Justice in Kenya — is part of a campaign by anti-reformist to ensure Raila Odinga fails in his bid for presidency.

Speaking to journalist at Highlands Hotel in Eldoret, Simion Lelan, the chairman of Fora in the North Rift, claimed the book is likely to have been sponsored by Raila's critic. “What Miguna should tell Kenyans is who financed the publication of his book and why did he have to wait to release it a few months towards the election and only after he has been sacked,” Lelan said. Miguna fell out with Raila last year. He launched the book in Nairobi last week.
