Police and wildlife rangers have recovered ivory tusks worth Sh2 million in Naivasha. Three men found with the ivory were arrested on Thursday. A car with Tanzanian number plates was also impounded at a police roadblock on the Mai Mahiu-Narok road. The recovery came hours after poachers killed three elephants in Maasai Mara and stole their tusks. Naivasha police chief Ernest Oponyo said an informer led them to set up the roadblock on the highway near Satellite. The three will be taken to court on Monday.
