Shaffie to host lingerie fashion show
Nairobi’s playboy and Kiss 100 Rush Hour presenter Shaffie Weru will be the host at the Art and Beer Festival’s Midnight Lingerie show at the Ngong Racecourse in Nairobi. The catwalk will feature some of Nairobi's hottest models. The festival will also include a bikers' procession, motor vehicle art, poetry performance and slam, bands, body art and tattoo jobs, drawing and writing sessions, a catwalk session and a camping site for those who wish to camp at the grounds.
The event is a two-day showcase that aims to explore all genres of photography, performance art, textile art, drawing, painting and sculptures among other art forms. It will also shed light on local breweries and give Kenyans the chance to sample the various brands and experience the art of beer making.
Among the performing artistes is Avril who has promised all the festival goers "a performance to remember". The Ogopa singer who hits the stage a few moments before the Midnight Lingerie show says she is ready for the festival and will make sure she lights up the stage. Bamboo will also be performing in what will be his first show since returning from the United States. Gate charges are Sh1,500 for season's tickets and Sh 1,000 for Sunday only .
