Man killed, his body found in River Yala
THE body of a 52-year-old man suspected to have been killed following a protracted land dispute was yesterday retrieved from River Yala in Bondo district. The body of Maurice Ochieng was found floating in the river after he disappeared two weeks ago following a dispute with relatives over a land succession issue. Bondo police chief Patrick Mang'oli said police managed to trace the body by following blood stains which led them from the deceased’s home down to the river. Mang'oli said the body was removed to Bondo District Hospital mortuary and is awaiting postmortem. He said police have launched investigations into the matter.
