Brothers, father lynched in botched robbery
Three men were on Saturday night lynched by residents of Baragwi in Kirinyaga East district. Two brothers who were gone to steal chicken were cornered by villagers when a local, Douglas Njue, raised the alarm. Residents said the two torched the chicken house when their mission botched. Njue said he raised the alarm and when the villagers caught up with the two, they beat and lynched them. He said their father intervened and the angry villagers turned on him and set the old man alight.
