Nairobi to host forum on business security
BUSINESS and political leaders are set to converge in Nairobi next month for a forum on security aimed at finding solutions to modern threats that pose a risk to industries and investments in the continent. Dubbed the Africa Forum on Business and Security, will bring together international political figures, business leaders, security professionals, NGOs and academics for a two-day conference in mid September to discuss our common interest in Africa’s security.
New Security Foundation has teamed up with the government of Kenya to organize the conference which seeks to identify ways in which different parties involved can work together more effectively to develop new solutions. Vice-President of South Sudan, Riek Machar,will be one of the key speakers expected to grace the event which will also be attended by various Kenyan ministers. The conference debate will focus on dealing with persistent problems, attracting investors, protecting vulnerable sectors and securing growth.
