Banker in Sh13 million heist nabbed

Police have arrested a bank employee who disappeared with Sh13 million. The employee was arrested yesterday and charged at the Milimani courts for offense of theft. According to preliminary investigations, Bank of Africa Eldoret branch employee was entrusted by the bank to transport Sh13.9 million to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. The employee is reported to have travelled with a bag containing the money aboard a Fly 540 flight from Eldoret to JKIA. However, he disappeared on arrival and failed to meet people he was supposed to hand over the money.
