Group told to amend papers on lands team

A minority group seeking to block the appointment of the new National Land Commission chairperson has been given more days to amend its application. High Court judge David Majanja directed the group to amend its application within 30 days after President Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga picked Muhammad Swazuri to the position. Majanja said an order issued last month restraining the President from appointing the chairperson and members of the NLC will remained in force until September 19 when parties will go back to court for further directions.
