Brazil Vs Mexico Today 5pm

Olympics Final

My Prediction: Brazil 3-1 Mexico

Two great footballing are nations up against each other; although Mexico hasn’t come this close to being at the summit of the world in a while. Let’s look at their Olympic journey. Mexico had to overcome Korea, Gabon, Switzerland, Senegal and Japan to get here; while the Samba Kids overcame Egypt, Belarus, New Zealand, Honduras and Korea to arrive at the final. The Teams participating in the Olympics are likely to form the bulk of who will be at Brazil 2014! And the hosts of the next World Cup are looking good. The young ones and the few oldies are ready to conquer the world, starting with the Olympics. Neymar, Hulk, Pato, Silva, Jesus, Romulo; the list is endless!

Manchester City Vs Chelsea Sunday 3:30pm

Community Shield

My Prediction City 2-1 The Blues

Do you know what this means? That the English Premier League season is just a week away. Woohoo! This is an important game as it allows these teams that have been playing puppy style friendlies to compete with one of their own EPL rivals. Actually Chelsea have been losing their puppy-style friendlies; lost 1-0 to AC Milan and 3-2 to MLS All Stars; but did manage a 4-2 win over Seatle. The trend here is that their defence is leaking. Meeting a Man City with Carlos Tevez, Sergio Aguero, Mario Balotelli and the likes is going to be rough on the Blues! Not to mention Man City beat Arsenal in the far East recently so they’re in good shape. Tee hee.

Sofapaka Vs Gor Mahia Monday 7pm

My Prediction: Sofapaka 2-2 Gor

Interesting! The way K’ogalo has been playing of late is making all their matches against former champs interesting. Sofapaka are going through a revival judging by their rubbing of Thika followed by their dismissal of Ulinzi Stars in the FKF Cup. But Gor Mahia are in such great form. I was worried that they were over-relying on Rama Salim and Dan Sserunkuma but Edwin Lavatsa is reminding us why we admired him when he used to be a Gor regular. This game will live on Ss and if you cannot make it to the stadium, you must watch it on TV. Heck! Olympics will be over, you have no reason not to.
