Residents say Narok water claims false
RESIDENTS of Nairegi Enkare in Narok North have denied allegations of mismanaging a water project. Keekonyie Water Project chairman Dickson Ntanyai said they have been charging affordable prices, as little as Sh2 per 20litre jerrycan. Speaking to the media at the water project yesterday, Ntanyai said there are some politicians trying to politicise the situation.
Last week, a Narok East parliamentary aspirant Simon ole Kimorgo told journalists that the water project has been turned into private property. Ntanyai said residents are satisfied with the services offered since the project was completed early this year. “We have a committee that manages the water project and the money earned goes towards the payment of workers, electricity bills and other expenses,” he said.
