Envoys on tour ahead of polls
Envoys and donor agencies have been assessing the security situation in parts of the country ahead of the next general election. The envoys are looking at the country's preparedness as the country looks to March elections. Some of the envoys have made private trips to the Rift Valley region and met with civil society groups, government officials and organisations involved in the election preparations. Head of UK's Department of International Development Alistair Fernie is among the envoys who have visited Rift Valley and held several meetings with civil society groups.
