Teachers de- mand hardship

Teachers from Kericho county will down their tools if the Teachers Service Commission does not reinstate hardship allowances. The teacher said they were planning a protest to coincide with the looming teachers strike that is being organised by the Kenya National Union of Teachers. The region's KNUT executive secretary, Daniel Chumo petitioned the TSC to ensure the allowances are restored.
