A suspect facing charges of trafficking in narcotic drugs was yesterday arrested as he delivered another consignment to his alleged accomplices at the Milimani Law Courts. Isaac Onyango was arrested while in the dock as he attempted to hand over one gramme of heroin. Onyango was in court for the hearing of another case in which he is charged alongside 14 people with trafficking in heroin.

The prosecution said the heroin was valued atSh1,500. Fresh charges were preferred against himover the drugs, which he denied. In the earlier case, Onyango was charged in May and was released on cash bail together with some of his alleged accomplices.

A majority of his col-leagues, however, remained in custody because they could not raise the bail. Principal magistrate Paul Biwott referred the case to the magistrate who was hearing the earlier case for him to determine whether or not to release Onyango on bail.
