MP backs cases on integrity

Kangundo MP Johnston Muthama has backed the enjoinment of Prime Minister Raila Odinga, his deputy Musalia Mudavadi and Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka in an integrity case in court. The three were enjoined in a case challenging the integrity and suitability of Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta and Eldoret North William Ruto to contest the presidency.

Three petitioners Patrick Njuguna, Augustino Netto and Charles Omanga have raised issues on the integrity of the three presidential hopefuls. Muthama spoke in Mombasa over the weekend when he joined the hundreds of Muslims in the Iftar celebration at Majengo. “I want to thank God because what I said earlier on has now come to pass. I said Raila cannot fail to answer the questions because he, together with President Kibaki and Kalonzo, sought the presidency. If Ocampo was right in his case, then they would have been at the forefront to record statements on the post poll chaos that rocked the country in 2007,” said the Kangundo MP.
