Ex-Unicef man for Somalia presidency

A former Unicef employee has joined the presidential race in Somalia. race growing field of presidential candidates in Somali. Hassan Sheikh Mahamud, 57, who  founded the Peace and Development party last year, said in Nairobi that he has what it takes to be the new leader of the war-torn country. The elections were to held today but may be pushed forward as they coincide with Idd-Ul-Fitr, a holy day for Muslims.
