Police in Nakuru have expressed alarm over the rise in cases of mob justice incidences in Nakuru town. Police boss Benard Kioko has warned of a stern action against wananchi who take the law into their hands and administer "mob justice" on suspects. “Nobody is allowed to kill or injure other s regardless of committing any crime in the society. They should report them to the police and let us do the investigations,”  said Kioko

In the last two weeks, members of the public have been taking the law into their hands to deal with suspected criminals especially in Kaptembwa and Rhonda estates. Last week on Tuesday, two men were lynched in Kaptembwa for allegedly vandalising a Kenya Power transformer.
