Guard charged with theft

A guard yesterday appeared before a Kibera court charged with theft. William Okango was accused of stealing equipment worth Sh 1,624,000 in Lavingtong on August 26. The accused denied the charges and was released on a bond of Sh50,000 with surety of the same amount. He is also accused of failing to prevent a felony. The equipment belonged to Golden Dreams company. The case will be heard on October 8.
