Hersi for December election date

The chairperson Maendeleo ya Wanawake Coast region Sureya Roble Hersi has said the next general elections should be held in  December next year. Sureya said the electoral commission has an uphill task meeting the August deadline. “It is not logical that some people are pushing for August. I fully back the commission’s December 2012 date for the elections to be smooth. A rushed process will automatically bring problems,” she said. She said the IEBC commissioners who were sworn in on November 14 were supposed to have been appointed between April 11 and June.
