Fisherman dies in boat accident

A 30-year-old fisherman drowned in Lake Victoria off Mageta Island, Bondo district. Kennedy Otieno who is from Uhanya Beach is said to have been on a routine fishing expedition, when he slipped from the boat and drowned. He was with four other colleagues. West Yimbo chief Daniel Ochieng Ting'a said Otieno allegedly stood up to light a cigarette when he lost balance and fell.
