Jamaican singer Bushman will be in Nairobi on May 11 for a charity concert at Sankara to raise funds for March Forth Kenyan Kids. Bushman will perform an acoustic set with special guest Michel Ongaro and Senta Lain from 8:30pm. March Forth Kenya Kids is a non-profit organisation working with children to help give them a positive path in life and teach them skills they can use to survive.

Bushman is one of the leading reggae artistes on the edge of reggae and conscious dancehall having been compared to reggae icon Peter Tosh. His deep baritone voice is not only  popular in Jamaica but all over the world. In 2008, Bushman released his first independent CD, Get It In Your Mind. He then recorded a new album, Tribute to Peter Tosh, which he's fondly calling Bushman Sings The Bush Doctor. In these songs, Bushman really captures the spirit of Peter Tosh.

Throughout his career Bushman has remained committed to cultural and conscious roots material, adamantly resisting the slacker side of the contemporary Jamaican dancehall, a commitment that has made him a more recognised artiste in Europe and elsewhere than he is in his homeland. Some of his popular songs include Everything and My Meditation. The gate charges are Sh1,000.
